What we collect

Your phone number, because it is your account and the way buyers reach you. We verify it with a one-time code sent by SMS. Your name and area, which appear on your adverts. An email address if you add one or sign in with Google, used for receipts and to get back into your account. If you sign in with Google we receive your Google account id, name, email and profile picture, and nothing else.

Your adverts — photos, descriptions, prices and the details you enter. Messages you send and receive through Kasuwo chat. Feedback you leave about sellers and that others leave about you. When you tap “Show contact” on an advert we record that it happened, so sellers can see how many people asked.

What we never handle

Kasuwo does not take payment for anything you buy or sell. Money moves directly between you and the other person, by whatever means you agree. We never see it, hold it or refund it.

Who can see what

Your first name, area, adverts, how long you have been on Kasuwo and any feedback are public. Your phone number is shown only to signed-in people who tap “Show contact”. Your email is never shown. Chats are visible only to the two people in them and to our support staff when one of them reports a problem.

How long we keep it

Adverts stay until you remove them or they expire. If you delete your account, your profile, adverts, chats and saved items are removed straight away and cannot be recovered.
